Book Review: Bishop T.D. Jakes LIFE OVERFLOWING

The Scripture is replete with hard-to-disprove instructions for living;keys that decrypts spiritual matrices regardless of its formula;and individual recipes for an eternal balanced diet. There have been many spiritual generals and casualties alike whose bravery or brashness have touched lives positively and negatively but never like that of the person reading through this review, this minute.
 

By this I mean, the application of our spiritual endowment.Seeing that God had blessed us, even before He created Earth, with all spiritual blessings in Heavenly places.

Why then do we still struggle with our bible studies,or the reading,or praying with, and thanking God with it? Some so called big preachers call it "these simple things"! Meanwhile they are actually the greatest culprits of this malady themselves. Yet,God is interested in giving any individual believer(the small fry) a taste of Living Life in abundance and Overflowing.
Such as was available in the life of people like Paul the Apostle et al.
Bishop T.D.Jakes presents Life Overflowing on the heels of this bible studies migraines. He based his teaching and studies on the book of Ephesians. This is another instalment in one of his many resourceful books. If you find yourself struggling,yawning profusely,or even snoozing off during Bible times just fetch Life Overflowing alongside of your bible.

It basically breaks down the Book of Ephesians into nugget sized chunks edible for the feeblest of believer.
No doubt we all get confronted by Walls -which may be a spiritual lack, physical or even financial.
And such walls may be our inner struggles with "the uncertainty of God's love for Us: The emptiness of our intimacy and inheritance in Him like when we first experienced Jesus". Or our struggles with coming to terms with the reality of unceasing spiritual warfare,Bone of contentions in our marital lives with regards to sacrificial love,submission issues. And of course the challenges of living a victorious Lifestyle.
Bothering on the issues of celebrating our marriages and submission, I quite liked the way T.D.Jakes put this that will resonate with anyone and everyone.

To submit is to make ourselves vulnerable(even to God and not just our partners) to the needs of others. Submission is a freedom word, a deliverance word, a word of position and function that brings a woman to higher and higher levels of intimacy with the Lord and greater power and influence in her marriage. And when the kingdom principle of submission is followed, harmony and unity in spirit can be reached even when there is disagreement.

Such character is what the world sees and attest in the believer as having that abundant life that's worth having! And which demolishes the Walls!

I would certainly recommend Life Overflowing for every Christian believer and seekers, though a little bulky. It is worth the size because it covers the whole book of Ephesians which happens to be a multi-faceted passage.
